Privacy Policy

KINETIC is provided by Gaitimes. This policy explains how the app handles data when you use compatible Bluetooth heart rate devices, workout history, ads, billing, feedback, import/export, and optional sharing features.

Data We Handle

When you scan for, connect to, or monitor a heart rate device, the app may process Bluetooth device name, Bluetooth device address, connection status, signal strength, heart rate readings, timestamps, workout duration, average heart rate, maximum heart rate, minimum heart rate, target zones, labels, colors, notes, generated share images, and imported or exported workout files.

Heart rate readings and workout history are health and fitness data. They are used for app functionality such as live display, recording, charts, summaries, import/export, and user-initiated sharing.

Local Storage

Workout history is stored locally on your device by default. The app does not require an account, does not provide cloud sync, and does not upload heart rate history to a Gaitimes server.

Sharing and Export

Data leaves local app storage only when you choose to export, import, or share through Android system pickers or share sheets. Exported JSON, CSV, PNG, or text content may contain health-related information, so choose storage locations and recipients carefully. Files shared to another app are handled by that app.

Ads, Consent, Billing, and Analytics

The app may use Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform to show ads and manage consent. Where required, the app provides ad privacy choices. Google Play Billing may be used for Remove Ads. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may be used for app operation events and crash diagnostics. The app should not log raw heart rate history, notes, exported files, or Bluetooth device addresses to analytics, and heart rate data is not used for ad targeting or sold.

Permissions

Bluetooth permissions are used to discover and connect to nearby heart rate devices. On Android 11 and below, Location permission may be required by the operating system for BLE scanning; KINETIC does not use it for location tracking or route recording. On Android 12 and above, Nearby devices/Bluetooth permissions are used for BLE scanning and connection. Notification permission is used to show monitoring status while the foreground service is active. Network access is used for ads, consent, billing, crash/analytics services, and opening support or feedback links.

Retention and Deletion

You can delete workout records in the app, clear app data in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Exported files are controlled by the location or app you selected. Because KINETIC has no account system, there is no account deletion flow.

Children

KINETIC is intended for general fitness use and is not directed to children. Do not use the app if you are not old enough to consent to the processing described here in your region.
